The Ankh is an artefact in the original Tomb Raider.

The ankh is also the egyptian amulet of life after death (immortality?) anubis is the most usual figure holding the ankh - while the orgins of the ankh can be dark the meaning is simple it probably means "life" the ankh commonly appears in tombs of old egyptian rulers.
