Amulet of Horus, which is an Ankh

Ankh is a figure that appears multiple times in Tomb Raider Games.

The Ankh items are artefacts that can also used as keys on some occasions, like e.g. in the original Tomb Raider. Also, in the first three episodes of the Tomb Raider: Re/visioned animated series, an archaeologist discovers a way to bring people back from the dead using an ankh.

In Lara Croft: Relic Run Resurrection Ankhs can be used to revive Lara and continue the current run.

History

The Ankh was an Egyptian hieroglyphic charater that read "life". The symbol represents eternal life, making it the general meaning of the Ankh. Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying the Ankh symbol by it's loop, but the origin of the symbol remains as a mystery.[1]
